Vraj Yatra Details
Details about each day during Vraj Yatra
Braj Dham is predominantly a forest culture. As mentioned in Skanda purana, It may be possible to count the grains of dust on the earth, but it will not be possible to count the number of holy places in Braj.
Once Shri Krishn requested Yamuna Ji to go to earth during the divine couple's descension in Braj. "yatra vrindavanam nasti na yatra yamuna nadi yatra govardhano nasti tatra me na manah-sukham" - Garg Samhita Shri Radha Rani said: My heart cannot be happy in a place where there is no Vrindavan, no Yamuna River, and no Govardhana Hill.
So Shri Yamuna Ji, Vrindavan Dham, and Goverdhan came directly from Golok. After that Water of river, Birija was poured into it. Shri Krishna then took the sand (Raj) to the size of his 84 fingers. This sand was spread across river Yamuna in the area of 84 Kos (252 Kilometers). Joining the name of river Birija and Raj of Golok Dham gave the name as Braj. In this area, there are 12 Vans (Forest), 24 Upvans (Gardens), 20 Kunds (Ponds), and village namely as Nand-Goan, Barsana, Govardhan Vrindavan, Mathura, Kosi, Radha Kund, etc. Once the city was created Lord Krishna requested all the trees, birds etc in Golok Dham to come to Braj and stay in there. This is how Braj appears in this world directly from Golok Dham.
